Din have the time to do something fancy for Dear this anniversary, but of course would never forget our special day =) Though I've been very busy studying for the exams, I've never failed to remember this day. Found these cute cartoon images, and it just says it all.. I miss you Dear =) Happy 11th month anniversary! Time really flies that I just realized its another month of anniversary again. My feelings for Dear have grown so much deeper than ever before.. You've continued giving me your support, encouragement and have kept me going on, motivating me with my studies during the hard times.. Really appreciate it darling and most of all,  I love your patience.. hehe >.<! You hardly rush me into doing something, and also most of the time, you let things go my way.. * oh you know how stubborn I am XD* You're the best babe!  Miss you loads and just couldn't wait to see you again!

In about 1 week + more, I'll be flying back to Brunei again.. Am excited to celebrate my belated 21st birthday with Dear when I'm back.. hehe! *Don't worry Dear, I won't expect any bling bling from you this time right? XD* No pressure, no pressure.. hehe! Sitting for my second last paper tomorrow, Law Bus Org T.T,although it's an open book exam, still very nervous about it.. Hopefully I'll manage to answer finish everything on time! OK studying time!! JYJYJY! It's gonna end very soon! Btw, today is a bloody hot day!! 37 freaking degrees, almost felt like my skin was burning under the sun... Doing yogurt mask now and it felt like the yogurt was melting.. lolx.. Dear says its steaming on my face.. yeah, felt like sauna now.. >=(

Congratx Isabella on winning the 1st Junior MasterChef title!

Yesterday was the finale of the junior masterchef, and the dishes that the last 2 contestants, Jack and Isabella, had put up was truly amazing! Adriano Zumbo's dessert really knocked my socks off as well, as it was a really really difficult dessert to plate up, with so many crucial elements that they've got to be aware of. It was one of his signature desserts called Pear perfection, which is choux pastry filled with pear vanilla creme patissiere and a pear jelly disc in the center, covered up with green sable crust which is some crusted topping..and some other stuff.. Looks very good!! I've made choux pastry before and I enjoy making them, though it takes quite some time to make them, it taste absolutely yummy when its filled with creme patissiere. I'm known for someone who loves to try out things that looks great and also tasted great.. so really can't wait to try to make pear perfection after my exam ! =D  

But anyways, gratx to both Jack and Isabella for being the last 2 finalist, though Jack had not won the masterchef title, his creativity in his cooking already makes him a winner. ^^ Really touches my heart seeing the relationship of Sofia and Isabella so close to one another.. and when the judges announced the winners, I was all teared up for joy, so happy for Isabella ! No surprise their future restaurant will sure be a success^^

Just had my first paper today and was a bit disappointed.. Though all the questions were very familiar to me, I've kind of forgotten some of the points which I have memorized. T.T Hopefully its enough to get me a pass and hopefully a credit.. >.< My next paper will be this Wednesday, Acct 260!! Horror!!! Will try to give in my best!! I'm very happy with my internal marks for this unit this semester, so am aiming for a distinction for this unit! ^^ Pray pray ! XD Alrights I'm gonna wash off my yogurt mask and head off to bed...Tiring day and so shall start off my studying first thing in the morning.. ^^ Guys, try out yogurt mask created by bubzbeauty, by just simply putting plain yogurt all over your face.. works amazingly, face feels sooo soft after its washed, and gives a hint of fairness to your complexion.. Works purrffeeccttllyy =D

Finally!! 3rd attempt SUCCESS!

Woo hoo!! My 3rd attempt on macarons was finally a success! so happy that I had finally understood how a macaron mixture consistency is suppose to be like, and this time, no pressure when I was doing it all, well ok I was actually bit nervous and excited at the same time.. but I just tell myself, no worries! this is the time for you to practice! I made a violet colour macarons with vanilla butter icing.. It's my first time tasting macarons, and guess what! It's absolutely divine!! The outside is crispy and the middle is chewy, just like how the masterchef judges described them.. Oh i must say the vanilla butter icing is soooo delicious!! I actually intended to fill  half of the macaroons with blueberry cheese and half of them with vanilla butter icing,but the taste of the vanilla butter icing just got me carried away and so eventually I just end up piping all of them with the vanilla ones.. hehe

Am starting to get all the sugar rush from the macarons, as I was piping the filling on each of them, I just grabbed them and slowly enjoy the texture and the taste of the beautiful macarons.. XD just couldn't wait any longer for all of them to be piped finished.. =D While its baking in the oven, we need to watch out for the timing, coz we won't want the beautiful colour of our macarons to go brown.. and yes! they do go brown quite quickly >.< so I set my temp to 100-120 degree.. I just learned from masterchef that the oven must be preheated to 200 degree, and then once you place the macarons into the oven, off the oven for 10mins.. will try this method when I'm back in Brunei! hehe 

I must say that its a really tricky and difficult dessert to make, as there are so many pressure elements that we've got to look out.. But overall, it was really fun making them, so you macaron lovers out there should try making them yourself! ^^v Thx to Dear for also giving me some tips on what I should be careful of when baking them.. hehe hmm.. now macarons, what next? Macaron tower!! XD

Macarons.. you just amazed me..

Hey guys, haven't been blogging for like a week =D As usual, pretty busy with studying and also am feeling sick at the moment.. sore throat's getting a little bit better, just annoyed with every 30 secs of coughing.. Went to the library to study today... hesitate a while thinking if I should go, coz afraid that my coughing would annoy some students, furthermore, I loved going to the silent zone to study.. But.. yeah I did went in the end.. hehe it was ok.. I didn't cough as much compare to when I was at home.. hehe I guess its the throat that's trying hard to control itself .. HEHE

I finally tried to do macarons today.. OMG! This is really a challenging dessert for me.. As it is my first time making them, struggled a bit, though I had done some research of recipes and techniques, when it comes to the real thing, you'll take back your words for saying " It looks easy! I also can make lor!". Practice makes perfect! That's the key thing that should always be remembered =) First try, I made it with my housemate as she always complains that I never bake with her, or never teach her how to bake.. hehe.. The almond meal is sooo expensive! cost like $10 for 400g.. gosh >.< I failed the first batch of macarons.. Was bit sad actually.. Consistency wasn't right, therefore the mixture didn't form nice circles on its own.. My first thought was, maybe there was too much air in the mixture.. 

Wasn't satisfied with it, so I try again after a while.. made my 2nd batch of the night.. Mixture now seems more glossy and I've knocked out some of the air bubbles in the egg whites.. As compared to my first batch, I hadn't really knock out most of the air.. so I thought the mixture shouldn't be overmix.. so I just gently incorporate the almond meal with the egg whites.. therefore consistency was bit lumpy.. As I piped out my 2nd batch, I noticed consistency wasn't still quite there.. I've just learned my mistake..  Keypoint no.1: Mix quickly when combining the almond meal mixture to the egg white..  Knocking out most of the air.. yet still leaving some on the mixture.. no.2: Must always test a little of the mixture to see if consistency is right,ensuring it forms ribbon-like consistency and blends into the mixture after a few seconds.. Hmm other than that, oh.. best to use piping nozzles when piping out the mixture, unlike what I did, I just cut the tip of the piping bag.. and so that explains the weird shape which I'm getting when its being piped out.. At first when I piped it out, it was like " waoo! so round!" after a while, you can see all the weird shapes coming out le >.< Alright's enough of my experience with macaron for now.. Can't wait to try making them again.. maybe after my exams bah =) 

Dear just quitted his job at the restaurant few days ago.. He's now helping out his Dad with his business.. I thought Dear could relax a bit after that horribly long hours of work at the restaurant.. but apparently, I was wrong.. =( Work for him now seems to be more busier and  is more labour intensive..  Well I just hope things will soon start to go smoother for him.. =) Don't want my Dear so xing ku .. hehe..Shall end here for now =)
